Why Teddy Eddie?

Teddy Eddie is a licensed method of teaching English to very young learners. Our main aim is to provide an effective and enjoyable learning experience for our students. Packed full of games, activities and songs, Teddy Eddie classes are all about communicating in English – with the help of our playful teddy bear and a dedicated teacher.

What makes Teddy Eddie different?

Teddy Eddie is a modern, child-friendly method that promotes rapid language acquisition through total immersion in a sea of English words and phrases. Our students get access to the Playground, an educational app designed specifically for the course. Parents are important to us, too, which is why we have prepared a detailed Parent’s Guide and developed clear standards for teacher-parent contact.

Ambitious and child-friendly

With the child-friendly format of our classes, our young learners are able to effortlessly acquire around 2000 words and phrases throughout the course.

Motivating

Engaging content and the presence of a playful teddy bear promote a positive attitude towards English and encourage students to learn.

Carefully designed

To ensure the effectiveness of the course, we use carefully selected educational content and adapt the requirements to the children’s developmental level.

Comprehensive

A dedicated learning app and a resource pack for students and parents make our course even more impactful.

Coursebook

With lots of songs, stories and complete sentences in English, the Teddy Eddie coursebooks are packed full of material. They are designed to give you an overview of what your child will be learning in class with the teacher.

Parent’s Guide

This book is for you! We have translated all the language material into our students’ mother tongue so that you can easily understand what your child is singing and saying. It contains ideas for language games and activities you can play and do at home. They are a great way to spend time together and consolidate new skills learnt in the classroom!

Access to the Playground app

The Playground app is an invaluable part of the Education Pack! It provides Teddy Eddie students with access to all the recordings they listen to in class and a wide range of language games for each level. Using the app outside of class helps speed up the language learning process.

Secret booklet and stickers

This booklet makes learning English vocabulary fun. Inside, we have hidden all the secret passwords (in the form of stickers for the younger groups, and full sentences for the older ones) that the teacher asks each child to say when they enter the classroom at the beginning of the class. This creates a sense of mystery and keeps the students excited about learning new vocabulary.

Worksheets and Workbooks

The Teddy Eddie method grows with the children, so the content of the Education Packs changes with each level. Children in Teddy Eddie ABC programmes receive additional worksheets and those in Teddy Eddie Superhero groups receive workbooks. Both are used to teach global reading, which is the first step to reading fluently in English.

The deDOMO method

We have prepared a bonus for 4, 5 and 6-year-old Teddy Eddie students - access to the deDOMO method created by our Ambassador Grzegorz Śpiewak. With deDOMO, children develop communication skills while playing with English at home with their parents.

Extra incentives

These include the certificate that every Teddy Eddie student receives at the end of their final class - a diploma confirming the completion of a level. There are also prizes at the end of the school year (depending on the level, children get badges, crowns or power cards representing the skills they have learnt).

TEDDY EDDIE EDUCATION PACK

Used by all our students, the Teddy Eddie Education Pack is an essential part of the method. Discover its components and find out why it makes a real difference!

The Playground app

Teddy Eddie students are given access to our educational app, the Playground. Using this app, children (and their parents) can enjoy a great variety of interactive games to help them consolidate the material learnt in class. They can also listen to all the class recordings.
Through regular use of the Playground resources, children are able to master essential vocabulary and phrases faster and more easily, which gives them greater confidence in the classroom. Plus, playing games in the app is lots of fun for young learners!

We follow an AMBITIOUS and UNCONVENTIONAL approach to teaching

We use language-rich and appealing material to teach effectively. Our content is both linguistically challenging and engaging for young learners. Our classes are innovative, based on modern methodological concepts, and designed to encourage fun, positive cooperation and practical use of the language. We guarantee spectacular results!

We care about children’s WELL-BEING

We respect the well-being of young learners, teach them independence and help them develop a sense of agency. We know that children’s emotions are important and we aim to build their self-esteem through the development of language skills. We use positive feedback to encourage a sense of achievement and develop intrinsic motivation.

We believe in PARENTAL COMMITMENT

Our carefully designed teacher-parent communication system helps us to effectively provide ongoing information about each child’s progress. We believe that positive parental involvement makes all the difference to the effectiveness of teaching. We also advise parents on how they can support their child in learning English.

Wartości

In teaching primary kids, we have consistently been guided by our values, which combine challenging objectives with a friendly, supportive classroom environment. Our students have a lot of fun in class, which contributes to a strong belief that learning can be enjoyable and that improving their competences is rewarding.

REVIEWS BY TEDDY EDDIE STUDENTS

Natalia, aged 3

Teddy Eddie Start

I like Teddy Eddie because he is such a good sleeper and you have to sing and shout very, very loud to wake him up. And I love shouting!

Viktoria, aged 3

Teddy Eddie Start

I like Teddy Eddie because he’s fun to play with and he hides when we speak Polish so we have to look for him. He’s so funny!

Klara, aged 5

Teddy Eddie Standard

Teddy Eddie is cute, funny and says that we’re not allowed to speak Polish. I like the songs and my favourite is “Sophie, the Robot”.

Natalka, aged 5

Teddy Eddie Standard

Teddy Eddie Standard: I enjoy coming to Teddy Eddie classes because there are cool songs. I also like it when we sit on the flying carpet.

Milena, aged 8

Teddy Eddie Superhero

I like reading games. I enjoy doing tasks from the book and in the app. I like the songs and Teddy Eddie. In the Playground, my favourite game is the “Monster”.

Milena’s mum

Teddy Eddie Start

What we like about Teddy Eddie is that our daughter has lots of fun and really enjoys attending classes. Every morning, as soon as she gets up, she asks: “Mummy, are we going to Teddy Eddie today?” I don’t know what we’re going to do during the holidays, when there are no classes! We can see great progress – she sings Teddy Eddie songs while playing with her dolls, starts adding words in English spontaneously and often organises ‘play’ Teddy Eddie lessons at home. It’s a method that makes children love English and learn a lot in a great atmosphere.

Tomasz

5-year-old Marysia’s dad

Marysia has made huge progress in learning English over the last year. My daughter really enjoys using the Playground app, which makes her even more interested and eager to learn through play. Marysia always comes back from class smiling and happy because she loves learning through fun activities.

Angela

4-year-old Ariana’s mum

This is the best teaching method we have come across so far. Our daughter enjoys the classes because the way they are taught is really appealing to children. She also loves the app and uses it a lot. We would highly recommend the course!

Maja, aged 12

currently an Edward’s League student

What I liked about Teddy Eddie was the teaching method itself. The songs, games, activities and stories are great for preschool children. I remember when we used to take Eddie out of his sock at the beginning of the lesson. I learnt to read through the games and to speak through the songs we sang.

M.G., aged 12

currently an Edward’s League student

I started the Teddy Eddie course when I was 3 years old, and it was my first contact with the English language. I still remember how much fun it was, even though it has been 7 years since I finished the course. There was a lot of vocabulary throughout the course, but it was cleverly put into context and it was fun – I didn’t realise how much there was to grasp back then!
